Wichita Wanda was born the second Saturday in March, 2000, at Lost River owned by two people who have become very dear friends of mine, Miz Annie Ross and Tensleep. Prior to that date I had spend many hours a month watching my man, Longhorn Louie, shooting these cowboy matches. Suddenly, I realized that I wanted to be a part of this sport and play this game. What a new lease on life!! The friends, fellowship, encouragement, and downright fun we all have knowing one another. I am honored to be close to such a great bunch of ladies and gents who have shown me that thecowboy way is still very much alive.
I shoot my 357 Ruger Vaqueros, my 38 Yellow Boy, and my original Winchester 97 shotgun all engraved with my name. I placed 1stLadies 49er in the first Virginia State Championship in 2004. I also Best Dressed Working Cowgirl. What a rush!
