WICKED WANDA

I started out shooting 6 years ago and I shot Traditional with Ruger 45's. Then I started shooting duelist a few years later with my Ruger 32's and now I shoot Classic Cowgirl with Ruger 45 Bisley's. It is a challenge shooting everything one handed.  I started shooting double duelist and it has slowed me down some but that is OK.

I have been shooting Classic Cowgirl for less than a year with borrowed guns. I enjoy dressing up as a Classic Cowgirl and having a lot of fun shooting.  I do not practice everyday.  They tell me I could get faster if I practiced, but I do not need a third job.

I started shooting this sport to have a little fun and I found out I could shoot pistols and a rifle and shotgun and could actually hit the targets, what a confidence builder. The people are the best and I would not trade all the friends I have now for anything else.  Everyone I have met in SASS will help you in any way they can from teaching you the proper way to shoot to lending you their guns to shoot if yours break and even supply ammunition. Most of the guys at our club will even bring extra ammo and guns and belts and holsters just in case someone shows up to watch and they do not have guns and they will let them shoot. You will not find many other sports that are that generous with match guns or information that can help you do better.

Wicked Wanda's wins include the following:

2005:   End of Trail - 3rd Classic Cowgirl; Mule Camp" -1st  Classic Cowgirl; 2nd Black Powder and 1st Classic Cowgirl Costume; NC Championship - 1st Classic Cowgirl and 1st Working Cowgirl Costume; Raid on Andersonville - 1st -Classic Cowgirl

My motto is "IF I HAD FUN, I WON" no matter what the scores indicate. It pays to choose your category wisely.
